Details Course material is available online 24/7. This is a cohort-based format with a specific start and end date. You will take this course with a specific group of fellow students. There will be an online meeting one evening per week to answer questions that students may have. You may also have one on one meetings with a local tutor to cover topics that are difficult to teach online.

In addition to handling emergency situations, you will learn more about other aspects of boating, such as advanced dead reckoning, anchoring under challenging conditions, medical emergencies, collision avoidance, knots & splices, coping with adverse weather, buoyancy & stability, and tides & currents. Students have 24/7 access to course notes, videos, related resource material and knowledge checks. Weekly webinars are scheduled for Tuesday evenings1900 – 2030 Eastern Time when experienced instructors will lead discussions of what the students have learned and how that knowledge can be applied while boating.
