Course Overview

This course will teach you how to choose the right anchor, calculate rode, manage emergencies and use proper techniques to keep your boat secure in different conditions, depths and bottoms. Perfect for: Day cruisers, overnight boaters, and first-timers. The $45 online self-study theory course is included with the on water lesson.

For “on water” lessons, the following will apply:

  1. You must have and provide evidence of your PCOC to the on-water instructor
  2. Bring your own lifejacket /personal floatation device to ensure proper fitting
  3. Arrive 30 minutes prior to start time
  4. Reschedule policy – requests to reschedule must be submitted > 48hours prior to class time.  If less than 48hrs, no refund or reschedule.
  5. Inclement weather – Captains will advise students a minimum of 3 hours prior to start time if class will be cancelled due to weather or safety concerns.  Students will be able to reschedule at the next available opportunity


On-water instruction led by Transport Canada licensed C-Tow Captains.
